WBBM Channel 2 - The Bad News Bears (Opening & Sponsorship, 1979)

Here's the opening and "Sponsored by..." tag for "The Bad News Bears" - a relatively short-lived TV series (23 episodes) based on the movies. On this night, Episode #3 aired, "Nakedness is Next to Godliness". (Wikipedia has the wrong one listed for this night)

The show starred several people who would later become better known, including Corey Feldman, Meeno Peluce (of Voyagers! fame), and Tricia Cast (the sister in It's Your Move and other roles).

Also includes a "Best of CBS" bumper promo at the beginning (voiceover by Bob Carrington) and a commercial for General Foods International Coffees at the end (with Carol Lawrence) - "As much a feeling as a flavor."

This aired on local Chicago TV on Saturday, April 7th 1979.
