WKBS Channel 48 - Son Of Svengoolie - "The Crawling Hand" (Promo, 1982?)
Here's a rare promo for Son of Svengoolie on one of the Field Communications affiliates - Philadelphia's WKBS Channel 48.
One interesting thing to note - Son of Sven never showed "The Crawling Hand" on the Chicago version, so this tells us that other movies were used at least once. I wonder if he did any movie related gags for this one or if it was just recycled bits from other shows?
Not sure when this aired but 1982 seems likely.

WJZ Channel 13 - "We Love IDs Too!" (On-Screen ID, 1983)
Here's one more example not from Chicago TV but still interesting to show the differences in stations presentations' of The Day After (an ABC Theater telemovie about the effects of a full-scale nuclear attack on the United States).
WLS-TV did not have an on-screen station ID for the entirety of the movie. However, WJZ Channel 13 in Baltimore, Maryland did. I don't have the entire broadcast to see how many there were, but this is at least one example.

Here's Part 1 of a Channel 2 News Special Report, "Blizzard '79: Public Questions, City Answers," a call-in show hosted by Bill Kurtis and Walter Jacobson on WBBM Channel 2, from five days after the city was socked by a massive snowstorm that went up to 20 inches and brought everything to a standstill (and ultimately cost Michael Bilandic his job as Mayor). Also featuring Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) Chairman James McDonough, Streets and Sanitation Commissioner Francis Degnan, Fire...

Here (in an installment of Fuzzy After Dark), is a clip of the Tele1st version of the famous pool scene from the 1982 film "Fast Times at Ridgemont High," featuring Phoebe Cates and Judge Reinhold - albeit highly scrambled in picture and especially sound. Even so, viewer discretion is still advised.
This aired on local Chicago TV early Tuesday, June 26th 1984.
