Here is Part Three of an "Islands" themed episode of Wild Chicago on WTTW Channel 11. Featuring Ben Hollis as host. I believe this was a compilation of segments from earlier shows all with an islands-related theme. Includes:

Here is another clip from WTTW Channel 11 Sneak Previews with a review of Blade Runner, Pranks (A.K.A. Death Dorm), the Pheobe Cates - Willie Ames movie "Paradise", and the ending credits to the show.
I can't believe they didn't have thumbs up or down back then. When the heck did they start that? I thought it was with them from very early on!
It's a shame neither Siskel or Ebert seemed to "get" Blade Runner, which is considered a classic by most people nowada...

Here is the opening and first minute (before the tape ended) of an episode of the kid's show "Villa Alegre" (Happy Village) on WTTW Channel 11. Villa Alegre was the first national bilingual (Spanish/English) program in the United States. It was similar to another bilingual children's show of the era, Carrascolendas.

WTTW Channel 11 - "Send Us Some Pizza" (1973)
Here's a short piece that was likely originally planned to air with a pledge drive on WTTW Channel 11, with longtime staff announcer Marty Robinson showing a sausage pizza and explaining how each piece represents a different aspect of the station's operating budget, and at the end giving the address where viewers can send money.
This piece, preserved on 16mm film, was preceded by the SMPTE universal leader countdown, and a 480 Hz "blip" on the "2." There is also a brief shot o...

Here's a promo for an upcoming edition of Soundstage on WTTW Channel 11, to be aired the following Wednesday (November 24th) at 8pm (with a stereo simulcast on WXRT 93 FM), with guests Blood, Sweat & Tears (with an excerpt of recently-rejoined lead singer David Clayton-Thomas tearing it up on a cover of the Blues Image's 1970 hit "Ride Captain Ride") and Janis Ian (with a snippet of her singing her 1975 hit "At Seventeen").
Main voiceover by Marty Robinson. Ending voic...

Here is a warning bumper which aired at the beginning of Monty Python's Flying Circus on WTTW Channel 11. This was an earlier design than the ones featured here and here.

WTTW Channel 11 - Monty Python's Flying Circus - "Missing Political Choreographer Opening" (1980)

Well this is something pretty darn rare. Here's the opening of a WTTW Channel 11 broadcast of an episode of Monty Python's Flying Circus. It was the episode "A Book at Bedtime" (originally from 1973 - Season 3; Episode 12). Sound ordinary so far? Well, it isn't. The opening of the show includes a sketch that has essentially been lost.
