Here's the ending of a program called "Orson Welles at the Magic Castle" which has a copyright of 1978 - at the end is an ON TV Coming Attractions bumper and the start of a preview of "Women in Love".
Not sure when this aired but it could date to 1980, in which case it would still make this one of the oldest (if not the oldest) ON TV clip yet found.

George Burns was awesome. He makes everyone else look like amateurs. I'll bet while he was sitting in the audience and watching the show he wanted to strangle his agent for making him show up to this thing... ;-)
This aired on local Chicago TV on Friday, January 20th 1978.

Not from Chicago, but still interesting (and pertinent) - here's another example of the animated "Field Communications" ID bumper, this time from KBHK Channel 44 in San Francisco. (Another example, from WLVI Channel 56 in Boston, Massachusetts, can be seen here; both stations were sisters to our own WFLD Channel 32 up to Field Communications' dissolution in 1983.)
Voiceover by Darwin Gillette.

Here's a technical difficulty moment from an airing of Lost in Space on WVTV Channel 18 in Milwuakee. Here the film breaks or something and you see a "One Moment Please" slide with their stylized 18 logo for a few seconds before they cut to a Golden Grahams cereal commercial.
This aired on local Milwaukee TV in the Summer of 1980.
