I always enjoy seeing those promo/station id slides for different stations. there's no ultra-slickness about them, they convey info, but seem kinda folksy in a way too.

Watching the Phillips 66 Petroleum commercial you wonder if all that research and developing of new sources of energy has really amounted to much...

Great opening for the CBS Sunday Night Movies!

Whatever happened to Shelley Hack (the "Charlie" girl)? She was on "Charlie's Angels" and did a lot of MFTV movies, then sort of dropped off the face of the earth.

The whole "That's Entertainment" franchise is now the property of Turner Classic Movies.

The V/O for the opening of "The CBS Sunday Night Movies" was Allan Berns. In addition, the V/O heard at the end of the "Charlie" ad sounded a tad like William B. Williams, a veteran D.J. with WNEW Radio (1130 AM) in New York and a commercial spokesperson in for Genovese Drug Stores in New York.

Back when actors could really act, and even sing and dance.

I remember watching this on The Movie Channel in the early to mid 90s along with the original. In 1994, "That's Entertainment III" was in limited release in theatres. WTTW Channel 11 aired "That's Entertainment III"
