WTTW Channel 11 - Doctor Who - "The Hand Of Fear - Part 4" (Ending, 1980)

Doctor Who on a Friday at 10pm? Here's something cool for you Who fans - the earliest yet discovered Doctor Who ending from WTTW Channel 11. I give you the ending for Part 4 of "The Hand of Fear".

This was back when they aired the episodes as they did in England; in half-hour installments, before Marty Robinson got the brilliant idea of editing all the parts in a story together and putting it on Sunday evenings.

Also notice the addition of the "Introduced by Howard DaSilva" to the end credits. This was an idea created by an American producer when the episodes were first televised in this country, as a way of making the shows easier to follow for us dumb yanks.

This aired on local Chicago TV on Thursday, September 25th 1980. (at a little before 10:30pm!)

    Ms. Sladen recently reprised her "Doctor Who" role for a children's series, "The Sarah Jane Adventures."
