Here is the complete ending of Son of Svengoolie episode number number 157, showing the film "I Was a Teenage Werewolf" on WFLD Channel 32. Sven mentions the big 3-D Countdown to the Movie event, which took place 5 days from then on Thursday, July 29th 1982.

    The 1st 3-D movie ever shown on Chicago television than anywhere else and next month will be the 26th anniversary of that event.

    I need to ask; did anyone who saw it that night think that the 3-D was any good on their TV's?
    The 3-D on my TV. was so-so, still blurry but some stuff...stuck out. But my next door neighbor that her's came out crystal clear, while others said it was just plain blurry.

    You really need to make sure that the reds and greens on the TV match the reds and greens of the 3-D glasses exactly or else it won't be effective.

    I've found that a good substitute for 3-D glasses was a ring of gels that a friend of mine found somewhere....if one red didn't work, for example, another on the ring did!

    I remember the 3-D Svengoolie episode...I nagged my parents into getting the glasses, but the stores were sold out. :(
