The Ray Rayner Show - "The Bye-Bye Show" (Part 1, 1981)

Here is Part 1 of the final episode of The Ray Rayner Show as shown on WGN Channel 9. (the first part is from a different source, so the video quality isn't as good as the rest of the parts)

Here he banters a bit with Chelveston the Duck and feeds him out of his hand, then shows a Bugs Bunny cartoon without the opening titles called "Hurdy Gurdy Hare".

Notice the audio cuts out when he says the date at the beginning and later in the clip. This must have been done by WGN when they realized they were showing it on a different date than the one he mentions (the taping date, we can only assume).

Kind of a bittersweet ending.

    This is the first time I've seen any part of the Ray Rayner Show since 1976, and the first time I have ever seen the show in color! Thanks for posting these!

    Can you upload the commercial breaks from the final Ray Rayner show in 1981. One has a commercial for Safari Cards, one has a commercial for Story of America cards, one has a commercial for Frosted Mini Wheats and Skittles, and one has a promo for Dick Clark's "The $50,000 Pyramid".

    I've been watching all the bye-bye show clips. This is the first Ray Rayner I've seen since I was a kid and boy does it bring back the memories!

    As a kid I never realized how much Ray was bantering with the off-screen crew... and I'd forgotten all about his singing! It wasn't a surprise to see, exactly, more like a pleasant reminder.
