41 Years Ago Today

Here's a partial segment from Noonbreak on WBBM Channel 2 featuring Bob Wallace and Lee Phillip with guest Karen Lustgarten, Disco Dance Instructor and author of the book "The Complete Guide to Disco Dancing".

Bob Wallace was a good sport. :-)

"In Disco you don't stop..." (unfortunately the tape did)

This aired on October 18, 1978.

Well, it isn't really disco dancing unless they have a Disco Body Shaper.

I think somewhere along the lines of "wow" or "damn" just about covered that one.
Would have been funnier if it were Drummond. :P

PVX: I was a master control operator in the 1990s and 2000s, and the ISCI codes were 4 letters and 4 numbers. An Ad Council public service announcement started with the letter C and three letters for the campaign, the digits would start with the year the spot was created, the revision or version number, and the last 2 digits being the length of the ad, so a 30 second Smokey the Bear Forest Fire Prevention PSA from 1999 would have been CNFF-9130.

Is that cottage cheese on the plate, or some kind of tartar sauce?

Mark-Paul Gosselaar's first commercial is for DAS Smurf Modelling Clay. He would have been 8 years old here.

The reaction of how Moe and Curly turned around to look at the wall paper is still funny as heck to me!! LOL!!!!

Additional note: CHCH in Hamilton began rerunning the series as of January 21, 2019, with special guest appearances by the Diff'rent Strokes main cast in that first episode (originally aired August 24, 1979 on NBC), and a larger cast than what we'd be accustomed to in later seasons as the girls grew up over the years.

George Clooney appeared in a number of Season 7 episodes of The Facts of Life starting with S7E2, which was the episode WGN ran on this particular day.
