Art Clokey, creator of Gumby and Davey and Goliath, passed away at the age of 88.

He is survived by his son Gumby and pal Pokey.

But seriously, he was great. What original creations he made. Gumby was a world all of it's own. He will be missed.

Interesting, the man who helped lead the Cubs to their closest shot at the World Series played there 24 years prior having no clue just how close he got.

Between WMET and WNUA they were WRXR. Loved that station and listened until they flipped the summer of 1987. They were like WCKG with more variety.

Until 2002 lol. I was 5 when they stopped giving $50K every day on the "Lucky Numbers II" game.
