I just read about it on Facebook earlier. :-(

He is survived by his son Gumby and pal Pokey.

But seriously, he was great. What original creations he made. Gumby was a world all of it's own. He will be missed.

His voice sounds very familiar. I think he may have been the VO for some of the early Carson's Ribs commercials.

This may or may not be the same Charles Fuller who was based out of Florida; and who co-produced The Royal Guardsmen's 1966 hit "Snoopy Vs. The Red Baron." Other Fuzzyites who'd know more may either confirm or deny this.

Tucker was also a charter member of the "Eyewitness News" team from within the first two years of its existence on WABC Channel 7 in New York City (he was their features reporter); and the first host of the station's first attempt at a local morning show, "A.M. New York," from 1970 until 1972. (That program was an indirect predecessor to what, until May 13, was known as "Live With Kelly And Michael." As well, it was that city's equivalent of, say, WLS's "Kennedy & Company" which, after a rotation of hosts following Bob Kennedy's death in 1974 and a few title changes along the way, would end up morphing into "The Oprah Winfrey Show" that ran nationally from 1986 until 2011.)

John Bartholomew Tucker was the host of Treasure Isle that lasted 2 seasons on ABC in case you guys didn't know.

Similar but doubt it...face is a bit less squarish, nose is a little different and the voice isn't quite the same either.

The 80s was the best decade for all things fashion.

Sounds like it was from the 5pm edition, if Jack Jones and Terry Murphy were at the anchor desk . . .

Incidentally, Fiorucci was one of the "brand names" mentioned in Sister Sledge's "He's The Greatest Dancer," one of their 1979 hits (along with "We Are Family").

At the 1:04 mark I think they liked that sweater because it looked like a "7", just like their channel.

Here's info on Fiorucci:
