4-Way Cold Tablets (Commercial, 1965)

Here's a vintage commercial for 4-Way Cold Tablets, showing the difference between it and a regular cold capsule in terms of the relief that is offered - 4-Way providing relief for nasal congestion, aches and pains, sluggishness and fever, as opposed to the cold capsule only offering relief for the first-named of these symptoms.

Voiceover by Phil Tonken (longtime staff announcer for WOR Channel 9 in New York).

This aired on local Chicago TV early Friday, March 5th 1965.

Was this by the same company that made 4 Way Nasal Spray?

You can see a M in the upper right hand corner, an H in the lower right hand corner and an I in the upper left hand corner one second into the video.

Yes, Steve Dahl had killed disco a month earlier at a White Sox game, but there are still some people who refuse to believe that disco is indeed dead.

I got Blow-Up watched last Thursday. Great film. David Hemmings was outstanding, as was Vanessa Redgrave and Sarah Miles, and pretty much the entire cast. A very artful masterpiece.

And for the record, the other Sarah Miles movie I watched earlier this summer was the 1978 version of the Big Sleep with Robert Mitchum and James Stewart.

Oh, I do have The Night of the Hunter from 1955 on DVD starring Mitchum and Lillian Gish, but have yet to watch it.

Two days later, the Cubs played against the Los Angeles Dodgers and lost to them 9-6 and on May the 5th, the Dodgers beat them out 14-12.

Roy Leonard was a great Chicago media personality. He was the perfect person to replace Frazier Thomas on Family Classics back in the 80s. I really enjoyed his work over the years. He will be missed. RIP Roy Leonard!!

Very sorry to hear about Roy's passing. He had a daily talk show in the 1970's where he interviewed actors and musicians that were passing through. He did an interview with some of the members of the band Chicago over one Thanksgiving weekend that I remember well. He also did a show for WGN radio, I think, a few years back. My condolences to his family.
