I especially like Larry's delivery here: authoritative and energetic. He is in full-blown Action News mode here, thanks to his original anchoring job at WPVI-TV (previously WFIL-TV) as the first-ever anchor under the Action News format. I remember reading somewhere that Larry quit at WABC-TV and the ABC network due to transportation issues--he had to commute back and forth between Philly and NYC daily--and a few altercations with Roger Grimsby.

I also remember reading elsewhere that the fluoride in our water system was a hazard after all. It is the industrial fluoride they use, not the sterile medical kind you'd find in your toothpaste. It can seep through your body through direct ingestion of water and skin pores. It is transported in the bloodstream and begins to build up in the brain and eventually causes mental disorders.

Darn, I thought they were gonna do an expose on the politicians of the state of Illinois. Then they showed a real rat.

How did Molly not slice the heck out of her arm or hand? This was in the days before digital editing, but she could have edited a few digits if that glass fell on her.

The middle of the report (4:21 to 6:42 in the clip) features an update on a lawsuit by future Alderman Wallace Davis, who was convicted in a corruption scandal in the late 1980s. Davis was recently in the news after being ordered to pay over $143K in past due child support by a Cook County judge in March.

This makes for some interesting reading, as the report indicated Davis owned a rib store in the South Side at the time he was shot by a Chicago Police officer during what was reported as a robbery in March 1976. Davis owns Wallace's Catfish Corner in the West Side (Madison & California).

Is there another name for "Funniest Man in the World?" I can't seem to find this version in IMDB.
