I hate when I see breeders in the classified though. To me that's like saying puppy mills are fine. I know this is only a commercial but still.

I never, in my life, saw a Farrell's, let alone ever been in one (especially when I was in the age range cited in this ad). Were there any in the New York metro area?

He was also "Little Earl" on "What's Happening?" and had a role in the Academy Awards sweeping "Meatballs Part 2".

Some of the "Old Time Movie" footage is from the 1926 Billy Bevan comedy HOBOKEN TO HOLLYWOOD...the clip also features Three Stooges nemesis Vernon Dent.

We had several Farrell's here in the Houston area; my sister worked at one near NASA. Nonstop noise and fun for everyone - she loved every minute of it!

There were also Farrell's Ice Cream Parlor locations in the state of Illinois besides North Riverside, IL.:
Woodfield Mall (Schaumburg, IL.)
Ford City Mall (Chicago, IL.)
Northwoods Mall (Peoria, IL.)

Rick: The photos on http://www.boonsborovillage.com/ look like the place was built in the late 1960s, early 1970s. According to apartments.com, it was built in 1970.

Szake - Yes, but were those apartment buildings there 39 years ago? That's long ago enough that you have to at least ask the question. :-)

4715 Boonsboro Road is home to Boonsboro Village Apartments. There are 70 units in the 5 building complex, so maybe Jeff Taylor thinks that is a vague enough address to broadcast on TV... like if a Chicago reporter did that and said they live at 222 East Pearson, a building downtown with 709 condominiums in it.

First off, looks like they were definitely moving away from the Field/Kaiser format from this point. They showed the closing credits all the way through this time, hehe.

Second, very interesting find (albeit a very short one) at the end of the tape. Don't see much of those "New Tom & Jerry/Grape Ape Show" blackouts in syndication ...depending on who ran those TV episodes.
