I saw the movie 'Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things'. Worst zombie movie ever.

I remember Patrick O'Neal in an episode of the 'Night Gallery' called 'Fear of Spiders'. He also did television shows like 'Alfred Hitchcock' and 'The Outer Limits'.

That Bingo head was from a commercial for the Muscular Dystrophy carnival kits featuring the Banana Splits.

The thing I noticed was $18 for a muffler, installed.

That seems really, really inexpensive, even considering 35 years of inflation. According to https://www.aier.org/cost-living-calculator, that is the equivalent to around $45. Tell me where you are going to get a new muffler installed for even double that amount?

Reminiscent (to my observational eyes and ears, at least) of longtime Castro Convertibles' spokesperson Bernadette Castro - the daughter of the company's founder - for those living in the NYC area. She started out as a kid jumping up and down on their convertible mattresses, then folding the bed into a couch. Such old clips would frequently be seen on TV ads after she passed adulthood (and after a short-lived attempt at a teen singing career a la, say, Lesley Gore) as she described the wonders of the product she was selling (and continues to sell on places like QVC and in online ads seen on, say, YouTube, today, despite the last store closing some years back).

I miss the good old days when Activision wasn't a huge, evil game company like they are now.

The "Tigger-style voiceover" is Fleegle, the Banana Split that Winchell voiced.

Recently someone added this clip from CBS's 60 Minutes from 1970 that told of the earliest cable TV outlets springing up around the country. In one scene, they show off this actual device that featured a camera pointed at a mirror that moved around back and force showing off the dials and whatever notices placed on this counter. I'm guessing the Nashville cable outlets was the same exact thing except for the differences in the dials used.
