Another of the voices was Corinne Orr, aka Trixie, Spritle, and all the female voices from Speed Racer. IMDB lists the original Japanese title as Andersen Monogatari with an 80-minute running time, or ten minutes longer than this one.
I got one of these cameras in '82 and still have several of the negatives; they have a central plastic hub with little negatives around it. I rigged my film scanner's 2x2 negative tray with a mask that would let me rotate the hub and scan the images one at a time with pretty good results (but not like the "simulations" in the commercial!).
The World of Hans Christian Andersen, also known as "Hansu Kurushitan Anderusan no sekai" has an aspect ratio of 2.35 : 1 for theatre distribution, and it looks like rather than crop the image, WGN ran it without an anamorphic lens.
This reminds me of a clip I saw on TVArk in which WABC had what appeared similar to the WFLA tease only with the actual set designed that way (around 1974-ish) as opposed to just a projector displaying the anchor repeatedly.
