I remember seeing the host of "Chicago Week in Review" (can't remember his name--Joel something) walking into town from Union Station. I'd've struck up a conversation, but it was a typical Chicago winter day (i.e. colder than Kelsey's you-know-what) and all I could think of was getting inside. That was a really good show. Is it still on the air?

Any "Image Union" clips out there?

Ro - Joel Weisman is his name. :-)

I have some Image Union clips here - do a search for it. I should post more though.

Thanks, Fuzzy! It actually came to me later. I'll check for "Image Union" clips; that show was classic.

Anyone know when they began using that particular logo?

Meaning the 11.

The movie Bob Carrington was referring to was the 1968 movie "Villa Rides" starring Yul Brynner, Robert Mitchum, Maria Grazia Buccella & Herbert Lom.

Twilight Time has released it on Blu-ray. I will order my copy before it becomes out-of-print.

Did anyone notice the Monday Night Football theme heard at the start and end of this promo?

Wonder why this thing isn't around anymore? "Let me see what happens if I stand on it?." Merry Christmas!

I found this on YouTube as a Sesame Street clip. Check out the comments though because someone named Paul Kyriazi claims to have directed it for Sesame Street and said that Mark Krigbaum produced and edited it and Roy Cox photographed it on 16mm film. The link is:

Comment posted in WBBM Channel 2 - The 1982 Chicago Emmy Awards (Excerpt, 1982) by FuzzyMemories on Tuesday, June 9th, 2015 at 3:40pm CT

OK - now having actually watched the clip again, I know what's going on here. I forgot where this clip originated but it wasn't with me. It is a clip from the 1982 Emmys, but it was shown during a segment of Steve Dahl's It's Too Early show. (the slide at the end is going back into the show (or perhaps to a commercial break), where you can hear the in-studio band noodling) Perhaps he showed this clip in anticipation of the 1983 Emmy Awards - not sure.

Chatter also aired on WFLD circa 1968-69 when the station started airing kids' shows after school. They showed on "Cartoon Town" with Bill Jackson, a predecessor of "BJ and Dirty Dragon."

Channel 32 had some interesting shows for kids when they started out. "Speed Racer" started out on 32, and I think "Tobor the 8th Man" was another show. Those were the days.
