Son of Svengoolie - "Godzilla's Back" (1985)

Here is a clip from what I believe is the 09-14-85 episode #318 showing "Godzilla vs. The Smog Monster". It's a song promoting the fact that Godzilla is back in the new movie Godzilla 1985.
(Also includes a partial movie bumper)

Featuring Rich Koz as Son of Svengoolie and Doug Scharf as Doug Graves the piano player. (Don't know who the backup singers are)

Upgraded the video file on this one. I agree - not Kevin Kline. Look at his face 11 seconds to 14 seconds in.

The conclusion of this story can be seen at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kuxyBRy6Q0I

Wretchedrepast: WFLD also cut the intro theme songs off of shows too like The Flintstones.

That brief shot from above of people entering the store was their store at Michigan and Chicago.

Pretty amazing to hear about "amazing new technology" like the video disc and Teletext back when they really were cutting edge.

And to think they're now "on the corner of Happy and Healthy," plus having swallowed up Duane Reade - a store of which I saw here in Chicago when I passed through either en route to a film festival or coming from it, in 2002. Their logo, I've noticed, remains the same, though . . .
