Son of Svengoolie - "Godzilla's Back" (1985)

Here is a clip from what I believe is the 09-14-85 episode #318 showing "Godzilla vs. The Smog Monster". It's a song promoting the fact that Godzilla is back in the new movie Godzilla 1985.
(Also includes a partial movie bumper)

Featuring Rich Koz as Son of Svengoolie and Doug Scharf as Doug Graves the piano player. (Don't know who the backup singers are)

I remember on Saturday they played concerts of New Wave artists (or I assume they were all New Wave since that's the ones I saw). I used to watch You Can't Do That On Television and this day I still use the one line about starving kids in Japan because they won't eat for a few hours. I grew up in Hazel Crest and we had a split Nick/ARTS channel.

As of late, I think Richard Blade is still on First Wave, only it's now on Sirius/XM Channel 33.

Somebody should have told these guys the real reason why Cronkite was called "Ol' Iron Pants." :-)

Or as the Trib's Gary Deeb called her, "Terry 'Disco' Murphy", for the kind of stories she usually reported on...

I bought my first Zenith about that time - but I went for the 25" model (just over $600.00, or about $100.00 less than what my first VCR cost a year before).

I thought she looked and sounded a bit like Andrea Martin - or her prettier sister (no, not Edna Boil).

Geez. Try to teach a kid math with that today and his reaction would probably be @o.oo
