There was a mid-late 1970's incarnation for M&M's at Easter with the phrase said by kids "Thanks, Mom!"

I remember the bumper from the Bozo show that was on at the beginning of the clip.

This one is a definite classic!

Remember that Jell-O pudding commercial with Bill Cosby and a group of kids where he asked them "what do you say when your mom gives you a nice bowl of Jell-O pudding?" The kids respond, "Thank you, mother dear!" Then Bill asks, "and what do you say when your mom gives you a SECOND helping of Jell-O pudding?" They respond, "Thank you, mother dear!" Bill then asks them "and what would you say if she takes a FROG and sticks it in your face?" Naturally the kids respond, "Thank you, mother dear!!!"

I now, at 36 years of age, instictively say "bawk bawk" whenever anyone ends a sentence with the words "Easter Bunny". Am I culturally literate or half way to senile. You make the call!

Lulz! I'll be thanking the CVS Easter Savings Bunny for the 1/2 price bags of unhealthy sugar come Monday morning. :-D

Dave Allen and Monty Python - A Great Sunday Night on Channel 11! If you watch this show notice that Allen lost the top of his left forefinger. He tells many different stories about how he lost it.

I'd gotten a DVD compilation of some of his works - apparently an import (must've been that Amazon link 'Polyrasmatazz' mentioned). Fortunately, I have a multi-region DVD player to play it on.

And some commercial stations ran DAaL. In New York City, WPIX Channel 11 ran it for a time in 1975, and then in 1980 it was WOR Channel 9's turn (one of his later seasons).

The details have been duly filled in by the pertinent elves in charge of fleshing out same.

This has been credited as one of the longest running ads ever in American Television History. I remember seeing it so many times that the orchestral harp and bust [whom I believe is Beethoven] became well-remembered images. It also was where I first heard of Tchaikovsky's and Grieg's names [and I confess that I mis-remembered the 2nd featured work as 'Full Moon & Eight Empty Arms', that's a love song for a octopus ;) ]

I thought there was another Chicago TV late movie show that also used "Take Five" as well. Often I think of the Late Movie and Chicago jazz clubs when I here "Take Five" [although it was recorded in NYC]

What ever happened to the fuzzy-memories version of this ad with the gunfire at the end?

I had wanted one of these computers since I had the Colecovision. After all the huge problems the ADAM had, I am glad I never did.

I remember seeing this ad several times just before I turned 5 [I was in Homewood IL at the time]. This was a surprise seeing this ad again!
